Job Description

The Mahopac Central School District seeks to fill the following anticipated probationary position for the 2024/2025 School Year:

Special Education Teacher - Mahopac Middle School

• NYS Special Education 7-12 certification required

• Additional certification in one of the following Math, Science, English, or Social Studies.

• Knowledge in Integrated Co-teaching practices, specially-designed instruction

• IEP development, implementation and progress monitoring

• Strong ability to differentiate instructional goals

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Knowledge of management strategies for students with special needs including, but not limited to, those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning disabilities, other health impairments and emotional disabilities.
