QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of:
State standards.
Core curriculum.
Special education regulations.
A variety of instructional strategies appropriate for different disability types.
Successful collaboration and co-teaching strategies.
Ability to:
Provide special education assessments.
Write legally compliant and educationally meaningful assessment reports.
Work in a collaborative relationship with parents, and general and special education staff members.
Develop and implement a functional behavior plan.
Enter IEP info into SEIS forms
Schedule, Monitor and regulate IEP timelines
Provide ongoing feedback on IEP writing and management
Attend all IEP meetings as Case Manager
Coordinate and communicate with case managers regarding all specific IEP-related issues for students on their caseloads; edit and approve all IEPs.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Provides direct instructional support to students with special needs, individually and/or general classroom setting.
Provides consultation to staff and parents of special needs students.
Conducts assessments, develops IEPs and participates in IEP meetings.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Valid California Special Education Credential Mild/Moderate and ELL authorization
