Avon Grove Charter School is seeking experienced and enthusiastic Special Education Teachers to join the Pack! As a Special Education Teacher, you will work collaboratively with a team of dedicated educators and support staff to provide individualized instruction and support, ensuring that each student reaches their full potential.

Grade Levels:

• 4th-6th Grade

• High School (9th-12th)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Education, Special Education, or a related subject.

• Valid PA Teaching Certification in Special Education.

• Prior successful teaching experience is a plus but not required

Primary Responsibilities:

• Plans and implements student-centered instructional activities and/or lessons that contribute to meaningful learning experiences and develops students' critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Prepares student education plans in consultation with parents and IEP team members.

• Ensures that student growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for age group, subject area, and/or program classification.

• Acts as coordinator of IEP implementation with General Education Staff, Case Manager to Special Education Students.

• Monitors student progress and participates in review and revision of IEP.

• Assesses student progress towards mastery of standards.

• Provides necessary accommodations/modifications for growth and success.

• Identifies, selects, and modifies instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs.

• Works closely with RTII Staff and Director of Special Education to report any concerns.

• Updates Special Education database with accommodations, dates, and other necessary information as well as attends all scheduled meetings.

• Assists in assessing changing curricular needs and offers plans for improvement.

• Performs other duties as assigned

Location: State Road Campus, West Grove, PA

Schedule: 7:15am - 3:15pm, Monday-Friday
