Special Education Teacher- Autistic Support

Vacancies exist for Special Education Teachers- Autistic Support within the CCIU's Division of Student Services. These positions will be located IU Countywide, currently at the Child & Career Development Center in Coatesville, PA and within our surrounding districts.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a bachelor level degree in education required.

• PDE Special Education certification required.

• Experience in Autistic Support classrooms preferred

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Instruct individuals and groups in special education skill areas.

• Provide specially designed instruction for eligible special education students.

• Plan curriculum and lessons.

• Evaluate and monitor student progress based on classroom performance, test scores, and observation of behavior.

• Support objectives and interventions of the educational program.

• Maintain safe physical environment of the classroom.

• Maintain contact with parents of students and/or professionals concerning student progress.

• When appropriate, develop IEPs addressing specific academic, behavioral, and speech needs of students

• Prepare report cards, educational records, classroom observation records, and other documentation as required.

• Function as integral member of treatment/IEP team, addressing needs of students.

$53,277 - $84,227 Emergency Certified

$54,981 - $86,531 - Instructional I

$57,379 - $89,997 - Instructional II

$61,041 - $98,278 - Master's degree

$63,691 - $102,147 - Master's degree plus 15 credits

$65,079 - $103,999 - Master's degree plus 30 credits
