Qualifications:

NJ Teacher of the Handicapped Certification

OR NJ Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certification AND NJ Elementary School Teacher K-5 Certification

Knowledge and experience with NJ Core Curriculum

Excellent knowledge of effective supports & best practices in meeting the needs of the intermediate ICR population

Ability to deliver high quality, differentiated instruction

Strong interpersonal, written, and communication skills

Proven ability to promote student success, provide effective supports, and respond to identified student needs

Extra duties as assigned by the building Principal and Special Education Supervisor

All alternate route candidates ("Certificate of Eligibility) must show completion of 50 hours of pre-service training through a DOE approved CE educator program prior to being interviewed for a position. The certificate of completion must be uploaded into the AppliTrack portal in order for alternate route candidates to be considered.
