Position: Supervisor of Pupil Services
Assignment: Parma City Schools
Days per year: 220 days for the 2024 - 2025 School Year
Salary: Administrative Contract: Salary Range: Step 1 $97,084.00 through Step 6 $107,399.00
The Educational Service Center of Northeast Ohio is seeking interested and
qualified candidates for a full time administrator for an
employment contract for a Special Education Supervisor position assigned to
Parma City Schools for the 2024-2025 school year from mid-August
through mid-June.
Proven experience and/or skill set and knowledge base in special education
compliance, supervision/evaluation of certified and classified staff, written and
verbal communication skills, time management and organizational skills and
rapport with parent/guardians and general education staff in a public school
setting are preferred. Ability to work with Superintendent, Treasurer, Central
Office and Building administrators, and collaborative problem solving.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A valid Ohio administrator certificate/license
A Master's Degree or higher is preferred with emphasis in the administration and supervision of student programs.
Proven knowledge base of special education preschool
Experience as a school administrator highly preferred, but not required.

Work collaboratively with Superintendent, Central Office, Director of Student Services, building administrators, certified and classified staff
Ability to effectively communicate both written and orally.
Ability to establish positive relationships with staff, students, parents and the community.
Proven experience and/or skill set and knowledge base in special education compliance, research based best practices, supervision/evaluation of certified staff, in a public-school setting are preferred.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists with directing the development, delivery and advancement of special education consistent with district mission, and federal/state laws.
Assists the Director with evaluating the teaching staff.
Coordinates Individual Education Plans (IEP) and 504 plan development and review process and ensures compliance is adhered to by all special education personnel.
?Serves as District Representative.
Administer and coordinate the PT, OT, school psychological services, speech and hearing services and other contract services for disabled children.
Maintains a working knowledge of the due dates for Multifactored
Evaluations and Individualized Education plans for all students with disabilities.Assists with special education program planning and staffing, including
Extended School Year Services
Assists EMIS coordinator in compiling and maintaining necessary forms for accurate reporting of special education and assessment of children with disabilities.
Maintains confidential case records for students with a formal individual plan (e.g. IEP, 504, WEP) and establishes policies and procedures for the department concerning records management.
Attends and/or provides professional development relevant to the role and for identified staff.
