POSITION TITLE: Secretary III - Special Services
POSITION LOCATION: Preschool/Administration Building
POSITION REPORTS TO: Director of Special Services
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the Director of Special Services, the Secretary III will be responsible for performing secretarial and support duties for the Special Services Program and Early Childhood Center including maintaining student records subject to State and Federal regulations, and all Medicaid reimbursement and billing recordkeeping.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide clerical support for the Early Childhood Center and Special Services department.
Contributing to a positive office climate by maintaining a high level of professionalism
Administering the web-based Washington Medicaid Reimbursement System Program within Federal guidelines for Medicaid Billing Program.
District Billing Agent for Medicaid billing
Responsible for generating and coding purchase orders
Assisting Special Services Secretary IV as needed
Coordinating Special Services training
Inputting student data
Performing other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential matters in an ethical manner
Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships and interact successfully with all school district staff, students and parents
Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and accept responsibility in a fast paced environment
Demonstrated ability to problem solve and provide logical solutions in complex situations
Demonstrated strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated high level of computer proficiency and application of technology
Demonstrated ability to comprehend and utilize mathematical calculation
Demonstrated ability to produce and maintain accurate records
Knowledge of WSIPC, Skyward and FileMaker Pro software system preferred
Previous experience related to student record documentation preferred
Knowledge and or experience concerning students with disabilities, rules and regulations which govern educational issues preferred
Bilingual skills preferred
Must have Excel spreadsheet skills
Must be willing to learn IEP online.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must qualify to work in the proximity of children under the conditions of an WSP/FBI background check and Sexual Misconduct Disclosure
Must have reliable transportation in order to travel between multiple District sites.

10 Holidays
Work Day: 5 Hours Per Day, 5 days per week. 7:45a-1:15pm, 30 minutes unpaid lunch
Salary: PSE Salary Schedule
Benefits: Health, Dental and Vision in accordance with the PSE Collective Bargaining Agreement
