Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Special Education Program Specialist and Head of School to assist classroom teachers in formulating personalized learning plans for students based on assessment data.

• Act as a specialist teacher in specific content areas such as math, reading, writing, or other specialized subjects.

• Offer coaching and training sessions to teachers and support staff on effective assessment and instructional intervention strategies.

• Potentially be assigned to a particular classroom, in addition to fulfilling the resource teacher responsibilities.

• Ensure the safety and well-being of students while promoting a conducive learning environment.

Skills and Characteristics:

• A robust understanding of content knowledge and familiarity with modern teaching methodologies.

• Ability to establish proactive communication channels with parents to ensure consistency between school and home environments.

• High energy levels, adaptability, and organizational skills, coupled with a commitment to ongoing learning and a moral purpose.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Prior experience with the Special Education Information System (SEIS) is advantageous.
