About STMA Schools We are a district that serves over 6,700 students and employs 750 staff in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our district is comprised of one primary school for preschool and kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, one high school for grades 9-12, and a secondary transition program for students with special needs aged 18 - 22.

Position Overview & Responsibilities Responsible for working with adult students with disabilities in meeting the secondary transition, academic, and physical needs as identified in the goals, supports of services of the IEP in either an individual or small group setting under the direction of the special education teacher or bus service personnel; maintain confidentiality of student and family information as required under FERPA. Tuesday, September 3, 2024 Contract: 185 student contact days Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7 hours per day (6.5 paid, .5 unpaid lunch) Requirements & Qualifications Requires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and either two years of post-secondary education or successful completion of the ParaPro; ability to work with staff and an educational team to provide services to students with disabilities; previous experience in working with students or adults with disabilities preferred.
