Special Education Self-Contained Life Skills Teacher - 1.0 FTE (2024-2025 school year)
2024-25 Salary Range: $46,813 - $68,815; or current placement on salary schedule.  Benefits available.

Description:  An effective candidate enjoys working with a dynamic team of special education and regular education teachers in order to provide services that fall along a full continuum to meet the diverse needs of students.

The ability to collaborate with a variety of individuals, including other educators, service providers, parents, administrators, and community partners, is essential for best outcomes for students.

This position will involve individually designed instruction tied to the alternate achievement standards for students grades 6-8 in addition to inclusive and pull-out instruction to address academic and functional daily living skills. This position requires specialized knowledge of strategies to support behavioral needs and implementation of behavior plans.

Candidates must be able to use technology for instruction, to develop Individualized Education Programs, collect and evaluate data, and monitor student progress. A candidate who demonstrates effective classroom management, verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills, organization and time management strategies is desired.

Qualifications:  Montana teaching certificate with Special Education endorsement (32E SPE, 32S SPE or 32A SPE), or ability to be certified by the start of the 2024-2025 school year.
