LICENSED TEACHER VACANCY
SPECIAL EDUCATION INSTRUCTIONAL COACH - DISTRICT WIDE
This position will focus primarily on supporting staff with effective strategies to meet the needs of students with Autism. The Instructional Coach will work on a collaborative team of coaches with various areas of expertise.
Candidates will be expected to provide professional development for staff, and to guide staff in the implementation of intervention and support strategies. A background working with students on the Autism spectrum is strongly preferred.

New teaching/new licensed staff orientation will be held on July 24 & 25, 2024
Experience:
District 49 credits each year of verified full-time/full-year K-12 teaching experience up to 20 years.
Work Schedule:
192 contracted work days

Salary:
The minimum starting pay is $60,730/year and the maximum salary is $103,125/year. Initial pay placement is dependent on level of formal education and years of relevant experience (the maximum credit granted is 20 years).

Qualifications and Expectations:
BA/BS from accredited college or university in Special Education
Strong applicants currently pursuing special education licensure through an approved program will be considered.
Colorado Department of Education Special Education Generalist License
Two to five years involved with school or district's special education affective needs programing

ABOUT THE POSITION
This position will specifically support staff who are serving students on Extended Evidence Outcomes, especially those who are served in Significant Support Needs (SSN) programs district wide. Coaching will be provided to special education teachers, general education teachers, and paraprofessionals.
Coaching and supports should focus on meaningful inclusion, as well as the planning and systematic implementation of effective instruction in both special education and general education settings for students with significant needs. This position will allow a skilled provider to expand their reach beyond a single caseload of students to have a positive impact on staff and students district wide through the development and delivery of targeted professional development and individual coaching.
