EXAMPLES OF DUTIES Assist in the preparation of foods to a minor extent including mixing salads, making dressings and sauces; scrapes, stacks, and moves dishes; washes dishes, utensils, and equipment; places food on counter or in steam tables; operates and cleans equipment such as electric mixer, dishwashing machine and food choppers and slicers; disposes of waste; washed woodwork, tables, and counters; serves at steam tables; works at banquets and special meals; acts as cashier; and does related work as required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of: Basic methods of preparing and serving foods; use and care of common kitchen utensils and equipment; and cleaning methods appropriate for equipment and surroundings in a food preparation area. Ability to: Learn to operate cafeteria equipment; follow oral and written directions; learn to prepare foods and to perform related duties of the position; count money and make change; and establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with other. Experience: None required. Education: Persons with the knowledge and abilities as stated are considered to have the necessary education.
