Service Personnel

Position Title Special Education Aide/Bus Aide, including Autism

Peterstown Elementary/Middle School

Job Description

• Assist teacher in instructional activities as directed

• Share in responsibility of protecting students, equipment, materials, and facilities

• Perform limited, rotating supervisory duties not related to instruction

• Provide assistance for transportation to and from school and for special school events

• Positive work habits

• Perform duties efficiently and productively.

• Schedule to be determined by Special Education Director. In addition to above, candidate must be physically capable of lifting and supervising children as well as special training; if training needed, must be willing to attend training concerning health care matters and of basic/specialized health care procedures and must maintain confidentiality of student's protected educational and health related information.

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or GED equivalent

• Must pass state aide test

• Must be willing to be CPR/AED and First Aid certified.

Salary/Effective Date: Salary based on experience and education level per Monroe County BOE salary schedule plus competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation. August 19, 2024
