Special Attestation Reporting Manager

Position Summary:

The Special Attestation Reporting Manager is responsible for all phases of project and engagement management for multiple clients who receive SOC reports. Responsibilities primarily include planning, directing, managing, and reviewing SSAE 18/SOC 1, SOC 2, AT 101, and AT 601 attestation engagements primarily for healthcare technology clients and financial services technology clients. Activities will include reviewing testing results, developing and supervising staff members, assisting in client management and practice development activities, and assisting in recruiting activities. The SAR Manager is responsible for an assigned group of clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards, quality of delivery, and strict client confidentiality.

  • Scope, plan, manage, direct, and monitor client service teams on multiple SOC engagements (SSAE 18/SOC 1, SOC 2, AT 101, and AT 601).

  • Perform client billing, manage engagement budgets, and staff engagements.

  • Supervise, train, mentor, and assess performance of staff members and manage, develop, train, and mentor staff on projects and assess performance for engagement and year-end reviews. Coach staff members in developing and achieving goals and objectives for performance and professional development.

  • Review audit programs, test scripts, working papers, and SOC reports.

  • Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure client satisfaction, ensure deadlines are met, and lead change efforts effectively.

  • Help identify performance improvement opportunities for clients and prepare the necessary information and documentation to facilitate the communication of the identified opportunities to the management team and client management.

  • Develop strong relationships with client contacts by demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the client's business and industry and communicating any client needs, control exceptions, or project issues to the partner and client in a timely manner.

  • Proactively interact with key client management and the partner to gather information, resolve problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements. Maintain strong client relationships and cross-sell services within your assigned group of clients.

  • Assist partners on proposals and business development calls.

  • Assist partners on recruitment efforts.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, and/or Business Administration.

  • A minimum of five to seven years of experience in an Advisory Services function or in a similar practice or function with a Public Accounting, Consulting firm, or compliance/internal audit function.

  • Strong understanding of network architecture, hosting and cloud environments, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS)

  • Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.

  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment.

  • Strong leadership, recruiting, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.

  • Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel on a regular basis to clients sites as required.

  • Travel 20 - 40%

  • A professional certification (CISA, CPA, CIA, CISSP, etc.) required

Attest Services Senior Associate POSITION SUMMARY: The Attest Services Senior Associates are responsible for delivering a full range of attest services to our clients, as well as all phases of assigned projects and engagement management for multiple clients. Responsibilities include the overall planning, direction and completion of system and organization controls (SOC) 1, 2, 2 and 3 readiness and examination engagements. This includes the development and supervision of assigned staff, and assisting in client management and related practice development activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Work with organizations to identify and manage business process and information technology risks within their strategy execution model. * Assist clients in applying key frameworks including SOC 1, SOC 2, HITRUST, HIPAA, Sheltered Harbor and NIST. * Execute assigned SSAE 18 client engagements from start to completion, which includes the overall planning, execution, direction, and completion of engagements and managing the engagements to budget. * Manage the day-to-day aspects of engagements, including managing multiple work streams simultaneously and re-prioritizing tasks when unanticipated issues arise. * Supervise, train, and mentor assigned staff members and assess the performance of the staff members for their engagement reviews. * Evaluate and test client-related business process and information technology controls and identify areas of risk for each. * Apply current knowledge of information technology trends and systems processes to identify security and risk management issues, as well as other opportunities for overall process improvement. * Work with assigned team members and client personnel to plan engagement strategy, define objectives, and address technology-related controls risks and issues. * Maintain professionalism and rapport with the client. Proactively interact with key client management to manage expectations, help ensure client satisfaction, meet client deadlines, and resolve any problems. * Proactively interact with key client management to gather information, resolve problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements. * Other duties as assigned. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, MIS or related field preferred.
