Position Opening: Special Assets Foreclosure & Bankruptcy Coordinator

Responsibilities and Expectations
Reporting to the VP Director of Special Assets and Senior Credit Officer, the Special Assets Foreclosure & Bankruptcy Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the collections and workout efforts on portfolios of classified credits in the Bank's various Regions. Responsibilities include:
Credit Quality
Monitors past due loans to ensure the timely shift to non-accrual, to ensure compliance with the Bank's SOX Controls
Participates in Regional Special Assets Meetings - assists in the development of action plans as they relate to Loan Delinquency and Foreclosure
Assists Lenders and Market Presidents on the preparation of demand letters due to delinquency and the subsequent progression to foreclosure.
Facilitates the accurate completion of Status Change Request Forms ("SCRFs") for all upgrades / downgrades, changes in accrual status and charge offs.
Monitors all bankrupt loans and tracks delinquency
Coordinates the engagement of Legal Counsel for litigation including foreclosure and bankruptcy matters.
Participates in the review of the quarterly Problem Loan Reports ("PLRs").
Focuses on reducing the Bank's non-performing assets ("NPAs") through either upgrades and return to accrual status or through the development and execution of exit strategies.
Is cognizant of economic and industry trends in order to maximize opportunities and minimize risk.
Credit Administration
Ensures that the credits have been assigned the proper risk rating by the Loan Officer and or loan committee(s).
Provides Senior Management with monthly / quarterly reports - including:
o Foreclosure Report
o Bankruptcy Report;
Non-Accrual Report
Report identifying loans moved to Accrual Status
Ensures that loan file documentation is accurate, up-to-date and well maintained.
Regulatory / Audit Relations
Assists CCO, CRO and VP - Director of Special Assets and Senior Credit Officer with the examination and audit processes to ensure a smooth experience and positive results.
Understand and follow the applicable laws and regulations for job responsibilities including but not limited to:
Equity Bank Business Ethic and Conduct Policy
Bank Secrecy Act ("BSA")
Information Security
Suspicious Activity Report ("SAR")
Reg. "O"
Reg. "B"
Fair Lending.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Required Skills & Education
High School diploma required
Experience working in a financial institution preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills and professional manner
Computer skills, especially the ability to work in Windows based systems
