OVERVIEW OF ROLE
The Spare Parts Inventory Coordinator will be responsible for controlling costs and keeping accurate inventory levels for all spare parts. The Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that accurate information is updated in all documents within the CMMS software. Examples of this data include project codes, dates, prices, and descriptions. The Coordinator will work cross-functionally with other departments as needed.
Maintain required inventory levels of parts to prevent interruptions to the production schedule
Continuously track the movement of spare parts and suggest inventory adjustments as needed
Maintain a clean and organized storage facility for spare parts
Cycle count on a regular basis in order to maintain inventory accuracy
Provide a monthly report to management on inventory accuracy
Kit parts for planned work and update work order status on an ongoing basis
Coordinate all inventory transactions
Work with department personnel and vendors to standardize similar parts in inventory
Other duties as assigned
Experience in stock room operation, cycle counting and inventory management
Strong verbal and written English skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Office
Basic mathematical skills
Must be able to quickly and efficiently learn new systems and software to automate and analyze information
Must be able to bend, squat, sit and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to operate a fork lift.
