The North American Headquarters for Sofidel America is in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania with additional plants operating in six states (Florida, Wisconsin, Nevada, Oklahoma, Ohio, and Mississippi) as a tissue paper manufacturer for Consumer and Away-from-Home products.

We are currently looking for an Automation Engineer for our Circleville, Ohio facility

SCOPE:

Perform duties to monitor and maintain the accuracy of equipment parts inventory in support of plant operational and maintenance activities, and assist maintenance with parts identification, working within the limits of standard or accepted practice. Continuously supports Sofidel's Employee Personal Practice Policy.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.Support Sofidel America's Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP to promote a safe, sanitary and hygienically sound workplace and promotes Sofidel Principles and Values.

2.Ensures that administrative an adequate supply of parts is available in inventory and ensure accurate and complete records of every part on all equipment; maintain the physical and the computerized inventory tracking system.

3.Supports the Spare Parts Supervisor in managing activities regarding the purchase of plant related goods and services collaborating with pertinent technical staff in purchasing complimentary products and spare parts.

4.Guarantees that Group Purchasing Procedures and Policies are correctly applied with reference to the activities he/she is in charge of.

5.Supports the Spare Parts Supervisor in managing working relationships with suppliers, outside vendors and establishing price and terms, negotiating prices and purchasing conditions.

6.Supports the Spare Parts Supervisor in the Identification and research of machine parts to be purchased and assists production and maintenance with identification of parts. Provides support in determination of sourcing for parts, supplies and services required.

7.Contact and coordinate with other manufacturing plants and assist with the acquisition or identification of parts required. Prepare parts for shipment to other company locations or to outside vendors for processing.

8.Must be able to operate and manage the have experience in SAP or other ERP system.

9.Must possess a knowledge of warehouse activities as it relates to spare parts, inventories tracking and receiving of materials.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Manages activities regarding the purchase of plant-related goods and services and guarantees that policies and procedures are correctly applied, coordinating with Group Purchase Management

2.Collaborates with the pertinent technical staff in purchasing complementary products and spare parts.

3.Collaborates with the Accounting Office on problems regarding the billing of purchased goods/services.

4.Promotes a safety-focused corporate culture.

5.Promotes Company Principles and Values.

Qualifications

Education:

High School Graduate or GED; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required:

Must have experience in SAP. Possess advanced computer skills. Must have advanced excel experience.
