GENERAL INFORMATION:
Spanish Immersion Teachers
Location: To be determined
Full-time, Permanent
The elementary Spanish Immersion teacher will teach Math, Science, and Spanish Literacy. He/she will team with an English partner teacher as part of the dual immersion program. The English partner teacher will teach Reading, Writing, and Social Studies. The Spanish Immersion teacher will be expected to collaborate with the English partner teacher and both will have the opportunity to attend trainings on district and state levels.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's or Master's degree
Must hold or be eligible for State of Delaware initial or continuing license
Must hold or be eligible for certification in Elementary (K-6) and World Language-Spanish (K-12) or Bilingual Teacher (K-12)
ACTFL Oral proficiency of "Advanced Mid" in Spanish
Basic proficiency English speaker
Must be able to work in-person while performing basic job duties
Must have completed online application
Previous teaching experience preferred
MUST BE PREPARED TO:
Collaborate with English partner teacher
Meet with parents form both classes for Parent/Teacher/Student Conferences and workshops
Assume other duties as assigned
