Requirements

The spacecraft hardware technician is responsible for building, testing, trouble shooting, integrating and maintaining build documentation of spacecraft subassemblies. You will be a key member within the Structures and Mechanisms group and interact with both the Electrical and Integration and Test (I&T) teams.

Summary of Duties:

  • Perform assembly operations which may include parts/materials preparation, mechanical/electrical assembly, staking, torqueing and lift/moving operations.
  • Knowledge of mechanical assembly, tuning/troubleshoot assemblies, alignment checks, perform calibration and part modification as directed.
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings, written or verbal instructions.
  • Maintain electronic and paper documentation-build, inventory, reports, etc. in accordance with company policy.
  • Provide test support ranging from build/test fixtures, small components, sub-assemblies to entire spacecraft.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

Desired Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, plus 2 years or more related experience.
  • Basic math and general computer skills(Microsoft office).
  • Ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact with other functional groups.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with small assemblies.
  • Experience/familiar with mechanical/electronic assemblies, composites and equipment maintenance.

Required Qualifications:

  • This position requires special access to conduct the work and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.

If you like the sound of this position, but are not sure if you are the perfect fit, please apply!</p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p>Capella Is looking for an energetic electrical test engineer to help plan, develop, and execute test plans and procedures relating to validation and verification of ground and flight electrical hardware.As a part of this team you will have to assist In building, testing, and debugging flight hardware. In this position you will be a key member of a small group of engineers responsible for testing the core avionics of the satellite. You will work directly with the Electrical Engineering team and Integration and Testing (I&amp;T) team.
