Space Systems Lead Electrical Engineer (multiple openings on team; mid to senior level) Location: Albuquerque, NM

Job Description Seeking an outstanding Lead Electrical Design and Analysis Engineer to provide technical leadership in the electrical design of high-reliability, radiation-hardened space systems. This role offers the unique opportunity to be involved in every aspect of electrical design across various programs, supporting engineering efforts from concept to production. There are 4 openings in total ranging from mid-level to senior/lead. The ideal candidate is passionate about space technology, has a strong background in electrical engineering, and excels in leading complex technical projects. You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of space systems and pushing the boundaries of innovation in this field. Duties and Responsibilities
Lead analysis of customer and system requirements, developing architectural approaches and detailed specifications for various electronic products
Spearhead the development of high-level and detailed designs consistent with requirements and specifications
Lead reviews of testing and analysis activities to ensure compliance with requirements
Lead activities supporting Supplier Management, including make/buy recommendations
Coordinate engineering support throughout the product lifecycle
Plan research projects to develop concepts for future product designs meeting projected requirements
Work under minimal direction, demonstrating strong leadership and initiative
Support electrical system design, assembly, integration, and testing
Develop embedded system architecture and design
Apply structured design processes and system engineering practices
Occasionally travel to support project needs, both locally and out-of-area overnight Required Experience/Skills
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent STEM discipline from an accredited four-year university
5 years' experience with Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design, simulation, and layout
5 years' experience developing firmware for embedded applications (FPGA, SoC devices, etc.) - 3 years' experience in performing worst-case circuit analysis and circuit stress analysis
Proficiency in programming languages including C, C++, VHDL, and MATLAB scripting
Experience with mixed signal circuit card design and simulation, including devices such as amplifiers, ADCs, DACs, digital functions, microprocessors, and point-of-load regulators
Understanding of common communications interfaces (RS232, RS422, RS485, SPI, I2C, LVDS, Ethernet)
Experience using common electronic test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal analyzers, function generators)
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to design overall requirements and design of box/subsystem
Tolerance for ambiguity in processes
Strong documentation skills
Well-rounded engineering skills and critical thinking abilities

Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Experience with space-qualified hardware design
Knowledge of radiation-hardening techniques for electronics
