ManTech is seeking a Space Systems Engineer to join the Intelligence and Operations Support (IOS) Division in our Chantilly, VA office. IOS provides specialized engineering, analysis and operations support to a variety of Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) customers. We support the development of next generation national security-related systems based in space, in the air, and on the ground.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

The NRO In-Q-Tel program is important to commercial outreach. It provides an agile and risk-reducing way to explore and assess cutting-edge technology development. In-Q-Tel also provides a host of educational events and subject matter experts that are available to the entire agency.

The NRO In-Q-Tel Program is managed within the Advanced Systems and Technology (AS&T) Directorate, which serves as the research and development arm of the NRO. AS&T's purpose is to find, explore, develop, demonstrate, and transition new capabilities to support world-leading space-based intelligence, reconnaissance, and surveillance and addresses acquisition and development enterprises.

The In-Q-Tel program is an investment by AS&T into technologies which enable stakeholders from the D's and O's to search for new capability and address areas of risk (i.e. technologies that support new sensor development, smallsats, better resiliency, etc.). ManTech is looking for an experienced systems engineer to:

  • Identify, coordinate and facilitate interactions with NRO Directorates and Offices to expose IN-Q-Tel technology offerings and to identify smart investment opportunities

  • Support D&O justification and interest in In-Q-Tel technologies

  • Monitor and facilitate D&D project execution exploring In-Q-Tel technologies

  • Provide and maintain an interface with In-Q-Tel representatives in support of NRO interests

  • Attend and represent the NRO at multiple meetings, forums and conferences hosted by In-Q-Tel

  • Support the In-Q-Tel GPOC with program, contractual and fiscal planning

Security Clearance Requirement:

Active TS/SCI Clearance with CI Poly

Qualifications Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in engineering, science, or related discipline or equivalent work experience

  • 10 years of relevant system engineering experience

  • Technical experience with aerospace system development

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and energetic environment

  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications
