The Advanced Electro-Optical Systems Group seeks a space-systems engineer to join our vertically integrated team. The employee will have the opportunity to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary group of optical, mechanical, and electrical engineers to design, prototype, and deploy high-integrated electro-optic systems for use terrestrially and in space. The candidate should be self-motivated, with a demonstrated capability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams and to autonomously identify and solve problems.
Job Description
Over the course of a career the applicant can expect to perform multiple roles, including but not limited to orbit modeling, image processing for feature extraction, optical system characterization, and satellite hardware design.
Multiple roles will require the applicant to develop expertise across multiple technical domains, including orbital dynamics, space hardware, optics, control theory, and statistics. The successful applicant should have current expertise in at least one of these domains, the ability to and enthusiasm for learning new technical domains quickly, and experience with physics-based software modeling.
The collaborative nature of the role requires the successful applicant to work fully on-site.
Requirements

Orbital dynamics
Space Hardware
Optics and electro-optic systems, including visible, SWIR, MWIR, and LWIR
Embedded software development (C/C++, Rust)
Analysis software: Matlab, Python, Julia
The study of statistics, including the study of statistical optics
