Whole Foods Market's Global Offices are the corporate offices that support regional entities. Whole Foods Market Global is currently developing its Austin campus and as part of our campus expansion strategy, the Global Facilities team (GF) is enhancing and professionalizing services to ensure optimal business support throughout our campus evolution and beyond. Space planning is central to all aspects of Facilities and informs virtually all departmental efforts, such as facility design, daily operations, and even maintaining a balanced real estate portfolio. The Space and Occupancy Planner is responsible for the entire space planning program, including data collection, analysis & reporting, occupancy planning, and move coordination. This includes short and long-term strategy to ensure efficient space use and relocation activities that meet company priorities and operational business needs.
Areas of Responsibility The Space and Occupancy Planner will develop and execute a comprehensive space planning program, while performing these duties:
Analysis and Reporting:
Develop space planning analyses and reports to effectively and systematically communicate facility occupancy ratios, space utilization metrics, demand forecast planning, and other key performance indicators.
Benchmark KPIs against industry.
Provide leadership with analyses that proactively identify problems, trends, and future space needs. Make recommendations based on findings.
Maintain project files to include space plans, data updates, communications tracking, project deliverables, and distribute reports as required.
Proactively seek process improvement and create opportunities to automate data capture and reporting.
Build an agile, data-driven space strategy and partner with the GF Leadership Team to proactively develop short/medium/long-range space plans, including but not limited to:
stack, block, & neighborhood planning
day-to-day space utilization monitoring system
Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with key stakeholders to capture detailed program requirements and coordinate space negotiations with the goal of optimizing space-use, while meeting business requirements.
Partner with HR, Recruiting, Finance and other key business partners to accurately formulate long-range headcount projections.
Own & support OfficeSpace (IWMS), to ensure data/configuration accuracy and effective utilization.
Develop, coordinate, and manage all campus move, add, and change (MAC) processes, end-to-end.
Effectively communicate and coordinate all MAC activities with business unit clients and GF team.
Serve as the single point of contact for all MAC activities/processes and deliver superior customer service to all clients.
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
3-5 years of Space and Occupancy Planning experience.
Experience with IWMS (OfficeSpace preferred).
Experience with Business Intelligence tools (i.e. Tableau or Power BI) a plus.
Excellent communications and presentation skills (both written and verbal).
Excellent data analysis skills.
Proven success completing projects on time and within budget, with a high degree of quality.
Exceptional attention to detail, customer service, and time management skills.
