Primary responsibility is to provide leadership, directions and supervision of staff in the daily operations of the Spa, including but not limited to, massage therapy, salon, skin care, spa reservations and spa guest services. The Spa Director is to be directly involved in forecasting and payroll. In addition, they must keep expenses within departmental budgetary guidelines. The Spa Director is to provide Isla Bella Resort guests and employees with necessary program guidance and coaching to ensure a positive attainment of organizational goals.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Maintain complete knowledge of
All resort features/services, hours of operation
All spa services and products
Salon
Ensure the smooth daily operations of the Spa
Booking appointments
Assist in the Inventory of professional products
Cleanliness of all areas
Linen control
Payroll
Scheduling
Guest related issues
Supervise and assist staff with daily guest interactions
Resolve guest complaint issues and follow-up with guests to ensure satisfactory outcome
Staffing
Hiring staff
Motivation of staff to perform at their highest abilities
Disciplinary procedures
Training Staff
Train spa staff in all spa areas as appropriate including, but not limited to guest services, sales, and other spa operations

Maintain Isla Bella Spa standards with all staff members.
Regular attendance is essential to the successful performance of this potion.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the resort. In addition, attendance at all scheduled skill development sessions is required.
Upon employment, you are required to fully comply with Isla Bella rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the Resort's facilities.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Essential: 1. Accounting and budgeting knowledge
Strong communication skills
Proven leadership qualities
Minimum 2 years in a management role that included supervision of staff
Computer literate including, but not limited to, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Demonstrated Human Resources acumen
Desirable: 1. Spa and or Salon experience
Hospitality experience
College degree (Business Administration preferred)

Job Specific Physical Requirements
Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by the Resort's environmental systems.
Must be able to stand up to 7 hours per day. Length of time of these tasks may vary.
Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other department of the Resort on a timely basis.
Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs occasionally,
Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
Speaking and listening occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, coaches and team members.
Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
Must have finder dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, printer, multi line touch tone phones, filing cabinets, Fax machines, photocopiers and other office equipment.
