The SOX Coordinator & Financial Analyst will manage SOX testing and reporting activities for Dickson Testing and Aerocraft Heat Treat. The position will also assist in performing financial analysis, reporting and month end closing activities.

  • Coordinate with the Division Headquarters on the Corporate SOX plan

  • Manage all tasks and documents pertaining to the administration of SOX program - scheduling, communication, training, keeping custody of all pertinent documents such as plan, testing templates, results, remediation support, follow up with the locations to ensure timely completion of testing, and maintaining various performance metrics (e.g. timeliness of the testing completion, number of exceptions by cycle, by country, etc.)

  • Identify areas of risk Provide periodic summarized status update to the divisional leadership

  • Perform quarterly restricted access & Segregation of duties reviews

  • Assist with the divisional Policies and Procedures updates

  • Assist with special SOX projects, such a process narrative documentation, process re-engineering, etc.

  • Prepare and distribute daily flex budget reporting to department managers

  • Assist in monthly financial reporting activities such Sales by Country, Sales & EBIT by Customer

  • Assist with Month end closing activities as assigned by Controller

  • Minimum Education ( or substitute experience) required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

  • CPA designation preferred.

  • Minimum Experience required:

  • Requires seven or more year's accounting experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Skills Required:

  • Demonstrated understanding and application of U.S. GAAP

  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to successfully manage many issues/projects simultaneously

  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with all levels of management

  • Able to work productively and independently

  • Requires excellent organizational, interpersonal, communications and management skills.

  • SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) reporting experience is required

  • Strong Great Plains knowledge Preferred.

  • Strong Excel skills.

VIEW JOBS 11/3/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-02-01T00:00 The Sr. Financial Analyst works under the guidance of the Controller and assists the Controller with directing the organization's financial operations and administration. Assists the Controller in the preparation and review of financial statements, budgets, monthly forecasts, financial planning, and various other financial operating reports.The Sr. Financial Analyst will also be responsible for fixed asset accounting, lease versus buy, ROI and payback analysis related to capital spending. The Sr. Financial Analyst will also be responsible for balance sheet analysis and assisting in Sarbanes Oxley compliance activities. The Financial Analyst will also assist with audit workpaper preparation as needed. Duties of Sr. Financial Analyst will include: * Prepare and analyze current and past financial data and performance to drive improvements. * Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to local, division and corporate management. * Manages operational data and maintains data accuracy and integrity. * Provide financial analysis and reporting on results and trends of operations. * Prepare reports and projections based on analysis. * Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting and budgeting. * Works with Controller to manage the preparation of budgets, review budget proposals, and prepare necessary supporting documentation and justification. * Assist with month end closing processes, maintain the general ledger, generate monthly journal entries and reconcile accounts. * Develop a strong understanding of the Financial and ERP systems and the ability to data mine. * Establish and maintain effective communication and coordination with team members, coworkers, production staff and management. * Review and improve daily processes and tasks to expedite and improve workflow. * Perform job functions with minimal supervision. * Provide audit support through the generation of timely, accurate schedules and documents. * Provide support to Finance clerical staff and assist in resolving issues that arise in these areas with minimal supervision. * Maintains construction in progress detail with supporting documentation and works with management team to submit capital requests. * Assist in Sarbanes Oxley compliance activities. Learns SOX Corporate requirements and maintains records to comply with said requirements. * Create and maintain adequate and appropriate procedural documentation. * Other duties and projects as assigned. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. * Advanced in Excel with intermediate skills in other Microsoft Office products. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Team player with a proactive, positive attitude and a strong sense of self-motivation, accountability, and responsibility. * Ability to analyze financial data, identify and explain variances to forecast, use the analysis to forecast going forward. * Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities using strong organization and prioritization skills. * High degree of integrity while working with confidential information discreetly and appropriately. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an emphasis on attention to detail balanced with a big picture focus. * Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP. * Ability to read, understand, and interpret financial data with an understanding of GAAP and regulatory requirements as well as company policies, procedures and internal controls. * Ability to rely on experience and judgment to work independently to prioritize and accomplish daily tasks. * Ability to identify and research accounting issues independently and communicate conclusions effectively both verbally and in written form. * Familiarity with manufacturing / processing environment preferred. * Experience with Hyperion preferred. * Sarbanes-Oxley knowledge preferred. * Experience with Great Plains preferred. * B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and/or Accounting with five years of experience in accounting and finance * 5+ years of progressive Financial Analyst experience * Extensive experience with ERP systems and Excel * Accounting experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred * CPA and/or CMA designation preferred.
