Position Summary:

The purpose of this position is to give entry level exposure to college students or recent graduates to learn the opportunities and operations of Nutrien Ag Solutions. The intern will spend 50% of their time at branches within the division, learning the operations and culture of the branch while the other 50 % will be spent on trial work. A large portion of the intern's time will be spent promoting Nutrien. The intern will complete a project during the intern period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Weekly projects and assignments based on Nutrien needs which could include:

  • Shadowing established PCAs/Crop Consultants

  • Assisting Field Checkers

  • Assisting Delivery Drivers/ Warehouse staff

  • Learning Fertilizer operations

  • Increasing product awareness by counting inventory with warehouseman

  • Assisting the Customer Service Representatives/Admin Assistants

  • Marketing by key placement of field signs and involvement at local field days

  • Attend company field days

  • Conducting farm trails

  • Working with echelon and NS Tracker

  • Conduct regular scheduled evaluations of seed and proprietary product trials.

  • Provide assistance to PCAs/Crop Consultants and operational staff at branch locations.

  • Assist with Loveland and Proprietary product trails.

  • Maintain and observe safe working conditions at branch locations and report any unsafe working conditions to facility manager.

Objectives:

Obtain experience with the retail operations at Nutrien, project presentation skills, and working in a team environment.Gain experience with regional crops, IPM, pest management, plant nutrition, seed traits and crop technologies.Develop customer relationship skills by working with and observing interactions between PCAs and growers.Positive summer experience to enhance future skills as a PCA

Other Information:

Wage: Hourly wage will be determined by division and may be subject to experience.

Student Benefits: Nutrien will issue a company vehicle to drive during assigned work hours. The vehicle will be available from the time the intern arrives at their assigned branch and the vehicle must be returned to the assigned branch location at the end of each work day.

Intern Requirements:
Interns will be responsible for proper work attire and must live within a daily driving distance to the Divisional office (housing assistance is not provided). The intern will be required to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen test and must have a clean driving record.

Provides the full breadth of Child and Youth Behavioral (CYB) counseling services to children of all ages of military service members and their families at military installations. These services may include non medical counseling, training/health and wellness presentations, consultation with parents, personnel at child daycare centers and schools, and consultation to installation command regarding behavioral health issues affecting children and youth. CYB counselors will be assigned to DoDEA schools and community schools and will need to have experience working in a school setting to qualify for school position. CYB counselors will also be assigned to youth programs, summer camps, and on demand assignments. The counselors work closely with the installation and military branch Points of Contact (POC) to assure that the program is provided within scope and meets the needs of the installation. * Provides non-medical, short term, solution focused, counseling directly to children and youth of service members. Services include assessment, brief counseling and consultation, action planning, referral to resources (assuring linkage as appropriate), and follow-up as indicated. * CYB counselors will also have a focus on supporting the staff and personnel of CDCs, DoDEA and community schools, youth programs and summer camps as well as providing parent training and guidance. * Provides training and health and wellness presentations, participate in health fairs and other base/installation activities focused on children and youth. Enters counselor activity data on a daily basis through smart phone, web, or fax to assure that reporting is accurate from assigned installation while maintaining confidentiality and anonymity of service / family member. * Creates a presence on the installation in which the service and family members feel comfortable approaching the counselor and recognize the program to be confidential; creates a presence in child and youth settings; makes self available to children, youth, and staff. When working with children, counselor must abide by line of site protocol. * Establishes and maintains working relationships with community resources focused on children and youth and provides appropriate linkages. * Partners with POC to provide CYB services in a manner that addresses the needs of the installation/facility. Develops an excellent working relationship with the installation/facility POC. * Manages duty to warn and restricted reporting situations according to DoD protocol and staffs the cases with Regional Supervisor/Regional Director. * Communicates with Regional Supervisors and participate in regular individual and group supervision, sharing information regarding trends and issues on the installations and in facilities to which they are assigned. * Responds to critical incidents and special requests as directed by the POC and approved by the OSD program manager.
