About the Job:

Performs all aspects of respiratory care within practice guidelines and approved hospital policy and procedures.

What You'll Do:

• Perform Pulmonary Function studies in the Pulmonary Function Laboratory on an in/outpatient basis (Methacholine, Complete, Lung volumes, diffusion, Respiratory Muscle Strength, Spirometry). Conduct pulmonary testing within standards required by the Medical Director and American Thoracic Society guidelines.

• Coordinate the Pulmonary Function lab schedule with Central Booking and the Respiratory Manager.

• Administer medications according to written orders and report any adverse reactions to medications.

• Perform all blood gas tasks as required, drawing, analysis, and reporting of critical values.

• Assist in the training of new staff and orientation of student interns.

Who You Are:

• Satisfactory completion of an AMA Respiratory Practitioner program required.

• Completion of all major competency verifications on a yearly basis required.

• Certified Respiratory Therapist credential required.

• Ability to obtain Pulmonary function credentials (CRFT, RPFT) from the National Board for Respiratory Care within one year of hire required.

• Current New Hampshire Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.

• Current CPR certification required.
