The basic function of the Designer/Drafter I or II is to be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and analysis of power systems and may include substation, relay protection, civil/structural and transmission design. Must ensure that all work is performed to the customer's reasonable expectations in a successful and profitable manner.
have knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within his/her specialized engineering field.
be able to take instructions from supervisor and communicate with subordinates and customers.
be able to read and write English well enough to interpret and use drawings, work orders and instructions manuals.
be able to write and print legibly.
AutoCAD and/or Solidworks experience.
have good communication and leadership skills and be able to work with a team.
Occasional traveling is required for permitting and site visit.
