Established by chef and founder David Chang in 2004 with the opening of Momofuku Noodle Bar, Momofuku has grown to include restaurants in New York City, Washington D.C., Sydney, Toronto, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles; a casual chicken spot (Fuku); and a bakery (Milk Bar), established by award-winning pastry chef Christina Tosi. The restaurants have gained world-wide recognition for their innovative take on cuisine, while supporting local, sustainable and responsible farmers and food purveyors.
The Momofuku porter role will involve cleaning and detailing the restaurant and kitchen space to ensure smooth service during the day. The porter candidate should be a detailed and meticulous individual, with an interest in the restaurant industry.
Washing and disinfecting kitchen appliances, work surfaces, floors and walls
Ensuring kitchen equipment is properly stored
Removing and recycling waste from the kitchen
Organizing the storeroom and kitchen area
Skills & Requirements
At least 1 year of related experience
Able to lift 50lbs
Feels comfortable standing and carrying throughout the shift (6-8 hours)
Flexible schedule preferred
General mechanical knowledge of food & beverage equipment is a plus
