As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in our flawless dining experience at Stony Brook University.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with the culinary team to resolve menu items and efficiently implement them

• Training and developing a team of chefs who demonstrate outstanding culinary skills to compete at the highest level.

• Ensuring strict adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations

• Coordinating food production and ensuring all dishes meet our world-class standards

• Assisting in menu development and maintaining a high level of creativity

• Managing inventory and controlling food costs

Qualifications:

• A consistent track record of culinary excellence and leadership

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• At least 2 years of culinary management experience in a high-volume location

• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, fast paced environment

• Servsafe certification

• Desire to grow
