The primary purpose of this role is to evaluate supplier sources, products, optimal stocking levels, purchase quantity, and storage locations to improve service to customers while meeting company objectives. Further, the Sourcing Analyst will develop detailed reports and make recommendations to improve efficiency in the material acquisition process. To succeed in this role you must pay utmost attention to detail, possess outstanding organizational abilities, and an aptitude for problem solving. In addition, having an analytical mind with business acumen and excellent communication skills are paramount.
BSc/BA in Logistics, Business Analytics, Supply Chain, Accounting
or related field
Experience in data mining, analysis and reporting
Familiarity with supply chain processes (e.g. Inventory planning, warehouse management)
Working knowledge of MS Office, relational databases and ERP systems (e.g. SAP)
Proficiency in Excel
Proven experience as a Supply Chain Analyst or similar role is preferred.
Soliciting, negotiating, and placing Purchase Orders with suppliers
Tracking and expediting purchased hardware
Responsible for assisting the inventory-stocking plan across the supply chain network to improve service levels while minimizing cost and working capital.
Implement and maintain inventory and material management strategies by regular review and optimization of inventory parameters and levels (reorder point, safety factor, forecast accuracy, etc).
Provide monthly forecasts to vendors.
Working cross-functionally with program teams and suppliers
Presenting program status to leadership
Network Optimization (Optimizing current & new):
Assist with implementing supply chain optimization projects to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
Develop, recommend, plan and execute optimal inventory strategies for continual improvement of inventory management. Included will be a detailed review of purchasing options, MOQ/EOQ analysis, stocking locations.
Conduct root-cause analysis for supply chain issues/variances and define corrective action plans to avoid reoccurrence. Review out of stock situations or excessive stock issues and recommend mitigations.
Develop metrics, dashboards, and performance scorecards for KPIs:
Design and implement methods to gather and manage supply chain data.
Responsible for managing the maintenance of all system inputs related to supplier lead-times and re-order points.
Track and reconcile KPI performance versus established targets and report on performance.
Promote a positive image build strong relationships within the department, internal business partners, and vendors.
Demonstrate a consistent sense of urgency.
Perform as an independent resource with little supervision required for day to day tasks.
Provide analysis and make recommendations to drive and support organizational decision-making.
