Responsible for the supply chain design, supplier development, and negotiation for procurement of goods and services required for Dedicated Computing products and services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop understanding of market aspects of assigned product categories/suppliers and high level of expertise. Develop commodity and supply chain strategies into product design and/or manufacturing objectives.

  • Develop cost models and understand cost drivers

  • Monitor market dynamics to ensure strategies are consistent with changes in market environment

  • Develop and execute long term supply chain strategies for assigned categories. Include contingency plans and risk analysis.

  • Interface with other functions to execute Sourcing responsibilities in New Product Introduction, material management, and accounting processes

  • Develop global and comprehensive supplier/buyer contractual relationships. Develop negotiation strategies and drive negotiations to achieve stated goals and objectives.

  • Work with Sourcing Category Managers as needed to develop and document negotiation and contracting process consistent with commodity strategy

  • Own communication for contract data and volumes across functional teams within Dedicated Computing and supply base, as appropriate

  • Leverage supplier capabilities and business opportunities on a domestic and international basis

  • Own the overall supplier relationship. With technology partners, and in accordance with the category strategy, drive supplier selection, development, and overall supplier management and marketing.

  • Participate in/conduct Quarterly Performance Reviews with key suppliers as assigned

  • Work with suppliers to drive improvement on all areas measured within the supplier scorecard. Review specific performance criteria and award, remove business in accordance with results.

  • Collaborate with Sourcing team to drive supply chain consolidation analysis, planning, and implementation

  • Generate material cost productivity improvements in assigned purchase areas to meet quarterly targets

  • As a function of the above, drive improvement in key quantitative objectives: material availability, material cost, inventory turns, and excess and obsolete inventory

  • Work with Sales/Product Management to improve forecast accuracy to suppliers

  • Maximize supplier value through understanding of their strategy and marketing efforts and incorporate information into new product designs

  • Train and educate Account Executives and Product Management teams in supplier marketing and strategy to drive sales with customers



  • Bachelors degree and at least 1-2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels, both internally and within supplier organizations

  • Data analysis, problem solving, and the ability to work independently at a high energy level


  • Knowledge of international business transactions, i.e., tariff codes, Intcoterms, export license requirements and intermodal transportation

  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, and budgeting

  • Knowledge of negotiation strategies and risk management.

Scope of the job is about managing $500M spend, ~375 suppliers cross 4 design centers (Waukesha, Florence, Aurora and Beijing) and 5 manufacturing sites (Florence, Monterrey, Aurora, Tianjin and Bangalore) through a team of ~13 sourcing leaders with the active support of the extended sourcing team including commodity leaders, Supplier OTD leaders, SQEss and SCEs Essential Responsibilities: * De-risk supplier base proactively, from identifying the risk to executing the mitigation plan, in partnership with the MR business team * Select strategic suppliers for any NPI and Supplier Transfers and get suppliers ready to deliver targeted business requirements (Quality, Fulfillment, Cost and Cash) per the program milestones, in partnership with the Supplier management, Supply chain and Engineering teams. * Drive product costs down by 10%+ year over year ($60M cost out approx. yearly) through supplier negotiation and design change ideas, partnering with engineering and manufacturing, with a total cost mindset. * Support Supplier Quality, ensuring supplier compliance with FDA, EHS, transportation and other regulatory and reputation requirements and support supplier & parts quality initiatives * This role can be located in Waukesha, WI or Florence, SC Qualifications/Requirements: 1.Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain Management 2.Minimum of 15years experience in Engineering, Sourcing, Operations, or Supply Chain. 3.Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of time Desired Characteristics: 1.Excellent business/financial acumen, ability to act as business partner through horizontal teaming, with the ability to motivate, influence and drive change in a collaborative and effective way. 2.
