As a Sourcing Manager you will be helping to developing the sourcing function within the Design and Construction - Physical Stores department based in Seattle, WA. You will be asked to develop sourcing strategies, execute, and deliver on time to ensure on time development of stores, working closely with store design and construction, operations, supply chain, finance, a wide range of architecture, engineering and research teams, and external vendors.

We're looking for people with demonstrated design and construction sourcing experience. You will drive multiple sourcing projects simultaneously, defining timelines and communicating on status, risks, and process changes. You will need to thrive and deliver results in a dynamic business environment, operating in all levels of the organization. You should be comfortable with a degree of ambiguity and pace that's higher than most projects and relish the idea of solving hard problems. You will use a combination of outstanding cross-functional thinking, business judgment, and strategic thinking to innovate on behalf of customers.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Collaborate with cross-functional store delivery team, external business partners and internal stakeholders to gather category requirements and specifications from departments, category, and subject matter experts

  • Facilitate vendor sourcing activities ranging from RFP to master agreement and work order negotiation and execution

  • Innovate within the space creating, automating or improving tools or processes that support better management of vendors and associated spends

  • Ongoing program level supplier management, including leading supplier business reviews

  • Take appropriate corrective action with suppliers to ensure their compliance with purchase orders, contractual terms and any necessary compliance for poor performance

  • Maintain procurement records and databases (e.g. supplier setup, contract information, catalogs)

  • Utilize multiple databases and systems to deliver accurate metrics, reporting and analytics

  • Ensure adherence to Amazon's policies and local procurement policies and procedures

  • Participate in the continuous improvement of processes and implementation of procurement best practices to maximize efficiency for the team and improve lead time performance within the procurement process
