The purpose of the position is to optimize the Finish goods flow of the NA Network worth $6 Billion Net Revenue, delivering our commercial commitments against targeted costs. The role is the extension of the Supply network strategy function, ensuring strategies are being executed against the agreed KPI's and assumptions. The Sourcing Manager streamlines the network to its needs and plays the key link between strategy and operations.

The key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Overseeing approximately 2000 lanes between Plants, Regional Distribution Centers, Branches, EM's and Repackers, ensuring finished goods flow to the customer meeting targeted case fill rates and costs.

  • The network is continuously subject to demand and supply driven changes and therefore requires continuous improvement via analytical analyses and cross functional collaboration.

  • Drive productivity with Transportation and Warehousing by using, creating, or eliminating sourcing lanes, and work with the planning COE to keep the various planning systems up to date as well as capacity plan stock holding locations according to efficiency by controlling flow, and inventory settings based on demand.

  • The sourcing manager will own post projects audits analyzing whether projects were delivered as intended and develop corrective actions to drive expected project results.

  • Own the monthly Governance and process ensuring decisions and status updates are shared with key stakeholders to feed the IBP cycle and financial implications of it.

  • Develop sourcing strategies (flow) to specific route to market needs defined either by category or channel with End to End Supply chain thinking incorporating Lowest landed costs models.

Experience Required:

  • 5 years experience within a supply chain role, ideally in the CPG industry.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across the organization Internally & externally.

  • Experience dealing with conflict and building consensus.

  • Has ability to manage and work with complexity and ambiguity .

  • Having driven large cross functional projects in a changing environment.

  • Strong written and verbal skills including the ability to influence others to take action.

  • Knowledge of inventory theory, decision analysis, location analysis and forecasting.

  • Leadership in analysis and developing actionable insights from data

  • Ability to present findings clearly, concisely, and in a compelling way.

  • Technical skills strongly desired in: Supply chain modelling, using a commercial modelling software package such as LlamaSoft Supply Chain Guru, IBM Logic Net, Insight SAILS, JDA supply chain strategist.

  • Spreadsheet and/or database modelling expert level skills in Excel with preferably in Access or SQL/SQL Lite.

Education Required:

Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree strongly preferred, or Bachelor's degree in combination with hands-on experience. Preferred discipline: Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or related field of study.

The Sourcing Manager NA Trade Marketing and Design supports the development of Spend Area strategies & practices for Trade Marketing & Design across the NA region, as well leading selected global initiatives. This includes sourcing strategy development & execution, stakeholder management and supply relationship management to maximize the total value of ownership for the organization. This person works closely with the regional business, global Spend Area teams and Global Sales to facilitate best practice sharing and drive advantaged cost, quality, service, and compliance to the organization. Job Responsibilities 1. Support global strategy development and planning • Analyze regional spend data, and understand the business needs. • Provide regional market and supplier insights to maximize opportunities. • Develop sourcing strategy with implications on the region (e.g. productivity, cash, and revenue). • Support the supplier negotiation strategy at country, regional, or global level. • Support development of global POS strategy development 2. Lead strategy alignment and execution for regional and local Spend Areas • Strategy communication and alignment with regional and local cross functional teams. • Prepare and lead regional bids & negotiations, and global activities as required. • Actively engage in key initiatives (aggregate demand, construct bid packages, and support sourcing through suppliers around the globe) especially negotiations to ensure value levers are effectively played. • Project prioritization and securing resources for implementation. 3. Lead contract implementation and drive contract compliance as per globally agreed Procurement policies for relevant Spend Areas • Work in close collaboration with regional LPRS and l Procurement operations/MBS in order to ensure local acceptance/implementation of new contracts, and extended value generation to increase customer satisfaction. • Coordinate contract implementation tasks with regional and local Procurement operations and users. • Closely monitor internal customers' contract compliance and define and take approved corrective actions to improve contract compliance. • Secure knowledge transfer and exchange by creating and storing project deliverables and relevant tools and templates in knowledge repositories. 4. Lead regional supplier relationship and risk management #• In line with defined Procurement strategy, support classification and categorization of suppliers, including definition of supplier evaluation and audit policies. • Continuously track supplier performance according to globally defined framework. • Lead supplier development activities, set-up cross functional review meetings with suppliers in order to improve performance and further reduce cost. • Initiate and conduct supplier audits according to globally defined framework. • Proactively identify supply continuity risks and develop mitigation plans. 5. Ensure appropriate end-to-end sourcing of purely local or regional spend items and large spot buys, unplanned ad hoc demands to keep control over spend utilizing deep sourcing or Spend Area expertise. 6. Support management of internal customer relationships related to defined Spend Area portfolio • within the framework of the cross functional sourcing and supplier development teams, closely develop and manage the relationship with internal customers. * Manage internal customer feedback and supplier performance. • Improve and reinforce Procurement's profile and recognition within the internal customer community. 7.
