The purpose of the position is to optimize the Finish goods flow of the NA Network worth $6 Billion Net Revenue, delivering our commercial commitments against targeted costs. The role is the extension of the Supply network strategy function, ensuring strategies are being executed against the agreed KPI's and assumptions. The Sourcing Manager streamlines the network to its needs and plays the key link between strategy and operations.

The key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Overseeing approximately 2000 lanes between Plants, Regional Distribution Centers, Branches, EM's and Repackers, ensuring finished goods flow to the customer meeting targeted case fill rates and costs.

  • The network is continuously subject to demand and supply driven changes and therefore requires continuous improvement via analytical analyses and cross functional collaboration.

  • Drive productivity with Transportation and Warehousing by using, creating, or eliminating sourcing lanes, and work with the planning COE to keep the various planning systems up to date as well as capacity plan stock holding locations according to efficiency by controlling flow, and inventory settings based on demand.

  • The sourcing manager will own post projects audits analyzing whether projects were delivered as intended and develop corrective actions to drive expected project results.

  • Own the monthly Governance and process ensuring decisions and status updates are shared with key stakeholders to feed the IBP cycle and financial implications of it.

  • Develop sourcing strategies (flow) to specific route to market needs defined either by category or channel with End to End Supply chain thinking incorporating Lowest landed costs models.

Experience Required:

  • 5 years experience within a supply chain role, ideally in the CPG industry.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across the organization Internally & externally.

  • Experience dealing with conflict and building consensus.

  • Has ability to manage and work with complexity and ambiguity .

  • Having driven large cross functional projects in a changing environment.

  • Strong written and verbal skills including the ability to influence others to take action.

  • Knowledge of inventory theory, decision analysis, location analysis and forecasting.

  • Leadership in analysis and developing actionable insights from data

  • Ability to present findings clearly, concisely, and in a compelling way.

  • Technical skills strongly desired in: Supply chain modelling, using a commercial modelling software package such as LlamaSoft Supply Chain Guru, IBM Logic Net, Insight SAILS, JDA supply chain strategist.

  • Spreadsheet and/or database modelling expert level skills in Excel with preferably in Access or SQL/SQL Lite.

Education Required:

Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree strongly preferred, or Bachelor's degree in combination with hands-on experience. Preferred discipline: Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or related field of study.

The global spend is uniformly consolidated into 5-Spend Areas (Raw Materials, Packing Materials, Logistics and Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing and Business Services and IT). External Manufacturing (EM) team is part of Logistics and Manufacturing Spend Area and is responsible for cost effective sourcing of portfolio of branded finished products (FP) from "contract manufacturers" (CoMs) or "contract-repackers" (Re-pack) in compliance with Mondelēz International food safety, quality and service level expectations. This function is significantly important to the Biscuits Category's growth agenda. Yearly, EM is challenged to create external supply solutions and timely execute New Product launches representing more than 15% of annual Net Revenue growth. This role is responsible for leading and managing sourcing of Biscuits External Manufacturing spend across North America managing annual spend of $100-200 MM. Key focus areas include sourcing strategy definition, deployment, and stakeholder management, to maximize total cost of ownership savings and procurement value contribution. Works in collaboration with Biscuits Category team to understand business needs, develop regional market insights, risks and opportunities, and help drive Regional goals. He/She drives Procurement value contribution to Mondelez while ensuring compliance with policies, strategies and processes.
