The purpose of the position is to optimize the Finish goods flow of the NA Network worth $6 Billion Net Revenue, delivering our commercial commitments against targeted costs. The role is the extension of the Supply network strategy function, ensuring strategies are being executed against the agreed KPI's and assumptions. The Sourcing Manager streamlines the network to its needs and plays the key link between strategy and operations.

The key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Overseeing approximately 2000 lanes between Plants, Regional Distribution Centers, Branches, EM's and Repackers, ensuring finished goods flow to the customer meeting targeted case fill rates and costs.

  • The network is continuously subject to demand and supply driven changes and therefore requires continuous improvement via analytical analyses and cross functional collaboration.

  • Drive productivity with Transportation and Warehousing by using, creating, or eliminating sourcing lanes, and work with the planning COE to keep the various planning systems up to date as well as capacity plan stock holding locations according to efficiency by controlling flow, and inventory settings based on demand.

  • The sourcing manager will own post projects audits analyzing whether projects were delivered as intended and develop corrective actions to drive expected project results.

  • Own the monthly Governance and process ensuring decisions and status updates are shared with key stakeholders to feed the IBP cycle and financial implications of it.

  • Develop sourcing strategies (flow) to specific route to market needs defined either by category or channel with End to End Supply chain thinking incorporating Lowest landed costs models.

Experience Required:

  • 5 years experience within a supply chain role, ideally in the CPG industry.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across the organization Internally & externally.

  • Experience dealing with conflict and building consensus.

  • Has ability to manage and work with complexity and ambiguity .

  • Having driven large cross functional projects in a changing environment.

  • Strong written and verbal skills including the ability to influence others to take action.

  • Knowledge of inventory theory, decision analysis, location analysis and forecasting.

  • Leadership in analysis and developing actionable insights from data

  • Ability to present findings clearly, concisely, and in a compelling way.

  • Technical skills strongly desired in: Supply chain modelling, using a commercial modelling software package such as LlamaSoft Supply Chain Guru, IBM Logic Net, Insight SAILS, JDA supply chain strategist.

  • Spreadsheet and/or database modelling expert level skills in Excel with preferably in Access or SQL/SQL Lite.

Education Required:

Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree strongly preferred, or Bachelor's degree in combination with hands-on experience. Preferred discipline: Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or related field of study.

Job Purpose The Senior Sourcing Manager works closely with multiple levels within procurement team, production plants and external suppliers/vendors. The Senior Sourcing Manager will be responsible for supporting various reporting activities and analysis, continuous improvement initiatives, and other replenishment daily activities. This role will be integral project activities such as coordinating & soliciting cross functional support, managing various information streams and being accountable for analyzing and identifying solutions in support of supply chain related activities. Daily activity will involve immediate tactical execution, analysis, reporting as well as influencing or participation in implementation of longer term process plans. The analyst will be responsible for analyzing individual aspects of the supply chain, clearly outlining standard business processes, facilitating communication between different areas and evaluating practices within the supply chain. Main Responsibilities * Lead the Flexible Packaging spend category of $220MM USD. More specifically, prepare the short and long term category strategy and execute for any of the regional bids including negotiations and overall supplier strategy (e.g. productivity, cash, and revenue),being the point of contact for external supplier network, leading the supplier relationship and holding meetings in a regular basis * Lead the regional feedstock * Develop and Lead the regional Packaging Innovation * Lead the roll out "Cost Models" in NA and support and coordinate global implementation. * Collaborate and align with global Procurement teams in different topics (ie. benchmarking, data gathering, new tools implementation – such as leading edge sourcing tools (parametric cost models bids, e-auctions, etc) * Provide regional market and supplier insights to maximize opportunities –including reporting PNOC on quarterly basis * Lead in negotiating buying commitments across supplier base to secure optimum prices, quality and service. * Analyze regional spend data and understand the business needs. * Understand the Procurement and Sourcing functions within the organization in delivering against key metrics. * Conduct day to day business analysis, supporting the supply chain organization * Work in close collaboration with local Procurement Representatives (LPR's) in order to understand local requirements and identify opportunities of improvement in terms of supply, quality and performance. * Work collaboratively with external/cross functional contacts to ensure supply requirements are being met. * Dependent on specific project and related portfolio expectations this may include direct linkage to service attainment and coordination of activity to support daily supply execution * Understanding of planning management system & tools , Warehouse and Transportation Management system for accurate processing ability including invoice Kick-Outs * Identify all key stakeholders, owners, and resources needed to implement improvement initiatives and work with these contacts to integrate solutions/improvements introduced. * Develop decision support tools and models to analyze the cost/benefit tradeoffs of inventory. Manage required analytics to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and overall project completion. * Identifies key barriers/core problems and applies problem solving skills in order to deal creatively with complex situations. Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems. * Coordinate projects implementation tasks with local Procurement operations and users. * Within the framework of the cross functional sourcing and supplier development teams, closely develop and manage the relationship with internal customers.
