Casper is looking for a Global Sourcing Manager to join our Supply Chain team. This person will report into the Global Sourcing Director and will work closely with Casper's entire cross functional team from Operation, Legal, Merchandising, Quality Engineering to Logistics. You'll interface with our supplier base and help to deliver the sleep products that have been designed by Casper's Product team.

When you're not catching zzz's, this is what you'll do...

  • Management of strategic sourcing and supplier development for new and existing products including, but not limited to Mattress, Consumer Electronics, Softgoods and Merchandising products.

  • Structure, negotiate, and implement Should Cost model for each product category.

  • Collaborate with internal cross functional teams and external suppliers on Manufacturing Service Agreements

  • Initiate and implement cost reduction and value engineering projects to improve product margin.

  • Initiate, and drive cost reduction opportunities through negotiation and value engineering opportunities.

  • Develop, execute and implement complex sourcing initiatives including supplier selection through collaboration with product, operations, legal and commercial teams.

  • Negotiate lead time reduction and MOQ reduction to improve inventory turns.

  • Manage RFP and RFQ process for new and existing products.

  • Perform periodic supplier risk assessment and new supplier audits.

  • Leverage market data, internal and external expert resources, spend analytics, and cost modeling to drive fact based decision making.

  • Implementing and maintaining key sourcing and procurement market intelligence, tools, processes, policies and programs for assigned commodities/spend categories as directed by the Director of Global Sourcing.

  • Create and continuously optimize sourcing procedures to ensure the highest level of quality.

  • Create a robust supply chain stability based on the global geopolitical risk assessment.

  • Perform cost scenario and benchmarking analysis.

  • Maintain current knowledge of the relevant product, material and service markets, new or potential market entrants, and any changes that are taking place in these markets and report them to management.

Our dream candidate...

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, Engineering, or business required field

  • 5-7 years of experience as a sourcing or supply chain management in the consumer industry. Experience sourcing fabrics, textiles, and foam strongly preferred

  • Experience in structuring, negotiating, and implementing a Should Cost model for a product category

  • Strong project management and leadership skills required

  • Must have ability to negotiate and sustain global supplier relationships

  • Solid judgment and ability to make informed decisions

  • Strong negotiation skills by using tier down should cost model.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to collaborate successfully with stakeholders across countries and cultures.

  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, agendas and translate complex information across internal and external audiences.

  • Strong time management skill.

  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

VIEW JOBS 5/21/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-08-19T00:00 JOB SUMMARY The Sourcing Manager will be critical to the execution of the Sourcing Strategy within the Luxury Brand Partners organization. This individual will need to develop solid working relationships with various stakeholders - both internally and externally - to drive process aimed at optimizing sourcing, supplier selection, spend and contracting while meeting the quality expectations set forth by the organization. The Sourcing Manager will also be at the forefront of identifying and developing performance indicators that will be reviewed on a regular basis. The indicators will be focused on internal and external factors in an effort to provide visibility to the supply base. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Lead Sourcing initiatives to develop best practices, process improvements, reporting, savings pipeline development, negotiations, contracts management, policies, new supplier creation, supplier due diligence, training, and technology platforms * Prepare RFQ, analyze supplier cost breakdowns, using internal and external benchmarks * Conduct strategic negotiations with suppliers in regard to prices, quality, volumes, lead times, contract and payment terms, framework agreements, etc. * Responsible for mapping the supplier market across the Americas region for different categories and work with cross-functional partners to develop new suppliers and/or category strategies * Develop and maintain costing reports - analyze spend vs annual volume to identify savings opportunities * Monitor supplier performance on an ongoing basis and develop improvement plans as required or requested by cross-functional teams. Resolve routine quality, service or cost issues * Assess and analyze vendor capacity along with projections to secure allocation strategies * Assist in the development of the supplier scorecard and review process in an effort to drive constant improvement * Optimize purchasing sources by continuously following and analyzing selected suppliers, in terms of financial stability and quality; * Elaborate and ensure relevant contracts run smoothly; assess satisfaction of internal clients and intervene to settle any disputes thru Supplier relationship Management (SRM) * Assist in developing and solidifying contracts with suppliers QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's Degree: 5+ years' experience with a focus on Sourcing * Good analytical, critical thinking and process improvement skills * Strong negotiation and communication skills * Experience in driving Sourcing Process across various functional teams * Demonstrated ability to develop and foster relationships across different functional areas * Strong communication and presentation skills * Proven understanding of the end-to-end supply chain to ensure decisions align with the overall strategy * Attention to detail, follow-through and organizational skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS * Lifting: Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. * Reaching: Extending hands and arms in any direction. * Sitting: Must be able to remain in the seated/standing position throughout workday.
