The OFS Indirect Strategic Sourcing Team currently has an opening for a Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Commodity Manager, based in Sugar Land, Texas. The commodity manager will be responsible for the development and management of preferred supplier relationships and programs in the western hemisphere.
Provide category expertise to their assigned category
Responsible to deliver sourcing projects
Evaluation and selection of a high-performing supply base
Execution of Request for Information/Quotation/information/Proposal, and bidding processes, minimizing risk and maximizing value in terms of quality, delivery and total cost of ownership
The negotiation of prices and terms with suppliers in order to meet specified quality, delivery and cost objectives
Collaborates with business stakeholders to develop and execute strategies to enable growth, increase margin, reduce costs, and rationalize the supply base
Contract development and management for Commodity contracts
Responsible for the reevaluation of current agreements and supply and negotiation strategies. This will require that changes in the market place that will reduce costs for Oilfield Services, are closely followed and taken advantage of
Responsible for identifying opportunities to leverage BHGE's purchasing power, issue resolution, establishing common processes for Baker Hughes, and ensuring continuous improvement
Maintaining thorough knowledge of industries, including knowledge of supply chain and supplier integration
Other activities as required
Travel of 20-25% may be required
Bachelor or Master Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business or related discipline
Strong knowledge of supply chain and sourcing principles
Candidates having the ability to demonstrate sound business ethics and consistency with principles, values, and behavior
Minimum 5 years of Sourcing/Procurement experience
Demonstrated ability to negotiate commercial aspects with suppliers
Demonstrated ability to build and manage supplier relationships and long-term partnerships
Strong analytical skills and comfortable with figures and in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data
Experience with SAP - Supply Chain / Finance modules
Strong project management skills
Ability to interact with and influence all levels of the organization
Detailed knowledge of sourced commodities, suppliers, and market trends
Exceptional analytical, project management, negotiation, facilitation, and customer service skills
Excellent communication, organization, problem solving, and planning skills
Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications, including use of modeling and database functionality in Excel. Knowledge of SAP
Thorough knowledge of Master Supply Agreement(MSA) content and structure, including, but not limited to, legal terms and conditions, transportation INCO terms, payment terms, SOX compliance, and, import and export regulations
