The Sourcing Data Analyst will support Enterprise Level Sourcing Managers by collecting and managing complex data sets and designing and generating reporting and analytics for cost, service, forecasting and other information necessary for category management. The position directly assists in improving Hubbell's expertise in data management and is imperative to executing supply chain and sourcing projects and processes to meet organization goals.
A Day In The Life / Duties and Responsibilities
Operate in a matrixed organization supporting multiple Category Managers and all direct spend categories
Support Category Managers in development and execution of sourcing strategies for supply chain resilience, world class procurement, productivity, and working capital initiatives
Develop and maintain methods to support sourcing evaluations, pricing/cost analysis, vendor selection, performance monitoring, and data management within SAP and Power BI
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in raw material, foreign exchange rates, inflation, or other indexes and how they impact pricing
Routinely evaluate index agreements, evaluate for accuracy and completeness, and process updates as necessary
Create simple, repeatable, reports and methods to achieve sourcing objectives and generate weekly / monthly KPI and Scorecard reports
Works with Sourcing Managers and business stakeholders to define data needs for the reporting requirements
Provide comprehensive data analytics to identify problem areas and suggest optimization opportunities on project-based assignments
Help improve processes and technology to reduce costs, identify and implement standard methodologies, and measure performance
What will help you thrive in this role?
BS in Business Management, Computer Sciences, Supply Chain, or Engineering
3+ years of validated experience in sourcing or related business field
High Proficiency in analytical tools and databases
Microsoft (PowerPoint, Project, Excel) and Power BI are required
Experience and proficiency in SAP
Ability to self-schedule, manage priorities and meet objectives
Ability to interface and support diverse global stakeholders at all levels
Ability to travel up to 10%
