Full-Time Shift(s): Flexible Monday-Friday 6AM-6PM


Working as a Full-Time Sourcing Administrator, you will be responsible for managing incoming RFQs (Request for Quote), distributing RFQs to the Sourcing Team, and communicating/coordinating with Fastenal sales representatives.


The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

oAccepting or rejecting sourcing/quoting requests from sales representatives based on lead times, support available, quality of information, type of bid, and sales opportunity

oPreparing quotes for system load and running internal reports

oCompleting cross reference requests

oManaging competitor intelligence

oAnalyzing and assigning quotes to the sourcing team members based on workload and product category specialization

oMonitoring the progress and work of quotes in order to meet customer deadlines

oCompiling customer deliverable quotations

oPerforming quote audits

oCommunicating/coordinating with high level sales representatives


The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:

oExcellent written and oral communication skills

oProficient using Microsoft Office Suite

o Strong math aptitude

oDemonstrate strong attention to detail

o Strong problem solving and deductive reasoning skills

o Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

oStrong organization, planning, and prioritizing ability

oHighly motivated, self-directed, and customer service oriented

o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork

oAbility to pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY)


oPrior experience in a related industry

oPrior project management experience.
