Job Overview: We're seeking a Lead Soup Cook to manage our soup-making team on the second shift. Your primary role will be to ensure that our soups meet high taste and safety standards by leading a team and upholding strict safety and quality protocols.

Shift Details:

  • This position is for the 2nd shift.
  • A shift differential is provided as additional compensation for this shift.

What You'll Do:

  • Guide and collaborate with soup cook associates to meet production goals.

  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety, HACCP, and USDA regulations.

  • Promote and enforce all company safety practices.

  • Actively participate in the training and development of associates.

  • Maintain open communication within the team and across shifts.

  • Assist in other areas as needed and directed by the supervisor.

Who We're Looking For:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

  • Candidates must be able to read and write in English to ensure effective communication and comprehension of job-related materials.

  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and frequently lift to 10 lbs., with occasional lifting of 30-50 lbs.

Training and Job Progress:

  • Initial Training: Comprehensive orientation on the first day at New Oxford, PA. After completing initial training, you will travel to Medina, OH, for a one-week specialized training session.

  • Regular Check-Ins: Performance evaluations at 30 and 60 days to assess progress and address any concerns.

Your Role in Our Team:

  • You are granted the authority to enforce food safety standards and lead production team operations.

Skills Needed:

  • Effective communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

  • Knowledge of cooking processes and safety standards relevant to soup production.

What the Job Involves:

  • Working in various kitchen environments may include cold, hot, or damp conditions.

  • Managing physical demands such as standing for long periods and coordinating team activities.
