Job Description:
The State of Nebraska, Department of Health and Human Services is seeking an SOS Temporary Child Care and Development Fund Program Specialist for the Division of Children and Family Services. This position will research rules, regulations, and requirements of the federal Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF).
This position will:
Research rules, regulations, and requirements of the federal Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF).
Assist in the development of process guides and tools.
Assist in the development of communication to the general public.
Provide support and guidance to staff and interested stakeholders regarding the rules, regulations, processes, and information related to CCDF and APRA funds and opportunities.
Review ARPA stabilization grants from applicants/providers and work with application vendor.
Monitor CCDF and ARPA subawards.
Work Schedule: Monday
Driving is Required
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent coursework/training, in public administration, social/behavioral sciences, healthcare, human services or other program related field. Professional experience working in a human/social service or health care agency with responsibility for planning or evaluation services, programs or operational policies and practices may substitute in lieu of the educational requirement.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience providing case management services to children and families and/or previous experience working with child care providers.
Other:
Valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation for work-related travel.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent communication skills and ability to partner with a variety of people are required.
Must have basic math, strong computer, keyboarding, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to read, understand, apply, and explain complex regulations and policies.
