AREA PERFORMANCE (55%)

  • Maintain minimum performance standards while performing required job functions

  • Properly utilize people, equipment, technology and facility for distribution operations in assigned area

  • Understand and achieve all functional area performance metrics (service, cost, quality and accuracy) for all channels of business.

  • Know and achieve productivity targets while maintaining high levels of safety, quality, accuracy, service and morale.

  • Understand and own the daily workload/workflow for your specific functional area and shift (inbound, outbound and returns) and make sound business adjustments to ensure your functional area is operating at most efficient model.

  • Ensure the day-to-day operations of your functional area run smoothly and efficiently (meeting/exceeding all performance metrics while displaying top leadership behaviors).

  • Understand and properly manage all production levers that impact your functional area productivity rates while maintaining high levels of service, quality and morale.

STAFF DEVELOPMENT (35%)

  • Through training, coaching and leadership, ensure your team is achieving/exceeding daily production plans.

  • Model and promote teamwork within your functional area.

  • Work closely with peers and superiors (operations managers) to develop goals and objectives that align with shift/facility/corporate goals and objectives.

  • Develop associates (non-exempt) through timely feedback, effective communication, proper expectations and training, mentoring/coaching so they can achieve their professional metrics/goals and take on roles of increased responsibility over time.

  • Conduct midyear and annual performance reviews for all direct reports (addressing metrics and behaviors).

  • Effectively collaborate and communicate with internal business partners (shift counter-parts, customer service, planning, quality, other operational teams, etc.).

  • Direct reports include operations coordinators/associates for inbound and outbound on assigned shift.

PROCESS IMPROVEMENT (10%)

  • Understand and constantly use continuous improvement methodology to increase, quality, accuracy service and safety while increasing productivity.

  • Develop, implement and enforce standard operating procedures and daily work guidelines and processes that optimize resource (people, equipment, technology) utilization.

  • Conduct monthly safety walks and complete safety inspections.

  • Actively own safety (incidents, near misses, accidents, awareness, etc.) through full participation in all safety related matters (meetings, supporting initiatives, investigations, etc.).

Key Responsibilities of the Food & Beverage Supervisor: * Ensures guests are attended to in a prompt, efficient and personalized manner. * The Food & Beverage Supervisor acts as a liaison between wait staff and the kitchen staff to ensure timely and appropriate communications. * Ensures that the restaurant and restaurant facilities are kept clean, well-stocked and organized. Checks the maintenance of all equipment in the restaurant and notifies the Restaurant Manager of needed maintenance and repair. * Assures all side work is completed, including all cleaning of equipment and storage areas. * Assists in coordinating special functions with the Outlet Manager or Food & Beverage Manager. * Assists Food & Beverage Manager in performing and maintaining food and beverage inventory. * Assists with conducting pre-shift meetings to review specials, menu changes and house counts. * Assists in the completion of revenue reports, production reports and other reports as needed. * Performs daily activities to include: serving tables, bussing tables, seating guests, room service and general clerical/cashier duties. * Assists the department manager in interviewing, training, planning, assigning, and directing work. * Addresses complaints and resolves problems. * Assists in the coordination of department members that may include, but is not to: Hosts, Servers, Expediters, and Cashiers. * Assists in monitoring business volume forecast and plans accordingly in areas of manpower, productivity, costs and other expenses. * Incorporates safe work practices in job performance. * Performs other duties as required. Minimum qualifications for the Food & Beverage Supervisor: * High School diploma or GED, and 1 year of related experience. * Must be able to meet state age requirement to serve alcohol. Other Qualifications: * Previous golf course and/or club experience is a plus. * Great Verbal and Written communication skills. * Alcohol Awareness Training, Food safety and sanitation training.
