SUMMARY

Responsible for implementing and managing a Level 3+ S&OP process as defined by the Gartner Maturity Index in conjunction with the Sr. Mgr, S&OP.

This position will engage with senior leaders from multiple functions to ensure organizational alignment and influence for timely and critical decision-making for meeting customer reliability targets. This role reports to and supports the Sr. Mgr., S&OP, manages internal Network Planners, and is responsible for organizing and guiding our COE team in Costa Rica.

This position requires excellent analytical skills along with, interpersonal, written, presentation, and verbal communication skills. Problem solving and organizational skills are a must.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsible for leading the analysis, creation, and presentation of information for Demand and Supply Reviews.

Provides guidance, coaching, and approval of analysis/content to our Costa Rican team

Lead scenario planning to mitigate risks or capitalize on opportunities while capturing their financial impact vs budget and cycle over cycle.

Active contributor supporting the entire S&OP process.

Proactively communicate critical changes to both upstream and downstream partners.

Continuously improve forecasts through evaluation of promotional activities, demand initiatives, and consumption trends. Lead forecast accuracy (MAPE) discussions with channel leaders. Shape demand plan accordingly.

Responsible for reporting on forecast accuracy measurements to identify potential gaps and drive improvements with key stakeholders.

Identify and implement improvements to all S&OP processes when appropriate and required

Minimal overnight travel is expected with this position. Travel is estimated as <10% of the time but fluctuates based on business needs.

SYSTEMS SPECIFIC FOCUS

Directs the development and integration of S&OP tools such as Anaplan/Kinaxis/Blue Yonder to enable a robust S&OP process, rapid scenario planning, and exception reporting.

Documents Pella's S&OP process including key deliverables and timelines in Pella's Data Catalog.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job currently has one direct report (Network Planner) and is a main point of contact and provides guidance to our Costa Rican COE team. This includes development and execution of strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and 4-8 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in the sales, supply chain, consulting supply chain, or operations.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively organize and present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Word, Advanced Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Oracle, Alation, Anaplan, Power BI / Tableau. Ability to utilize advanced supply chain tools if the company chooses to implement a new tool. A solid understanding of ERP data and transaction flows; ideally Oracle ERP.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

MBA or APICS Certification preferred but not required.
