Position Summary

The S&OP Director leads the sales and operations planning process, aligning cross-functional teams to develop and execute integrated plans to balance demand and supply, to deliver optimum inventory levels, improved capacity planning, steers decision making to deliver profitable business growth and maximize service performance.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Drive the Integrated S&OP process coordinating cross-functional teams in the region to ensure accurate and timely data exchange and decision-making for better demand fulfillment and profitability.

  • Develop and execute S&OP strategies to ensure alignment between demand, supply, and business goals to enhance overall performance.

  • Leads the development of consensus forecast and supply plans to meet customer demand fit to the business model, ensuring optimal inventory levels and efficient resource allocation.

  • Prepare monthly S&OP meetings to review performance, address deviations and facilitate decisions around resources & investments needed to deliver planning horizon, aligned with Strategic Growth Plan.

  • Work with operations to develop accurate supply plan which balances production and sourcing across facilities to resource utilization, cost efficiencies and meet Customer expectations.

  • Engage with Business Units, Commercial Teams and Planning on Project Pipelines, anticipating future demand and requirements to increase agility in responding to new business.

  • Identifies opportunities and risks and develops actions plans to ensure continuity of operations.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the S&OP stakeholders and ensures consistent adoption and execution of the complete end-to-end S&OP process and standards.

  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of S&OP, driving continuous improvement

  • Identify opportunities for usage of advanced technologies and tools to enhance S&OP processes, improving efficiency and accuracy.

  • Works in collaboration with Global & Regional S&OP teams, leveraging best practices and continuous improvement to enhance the S&OP process.

Required Education and Experience

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. MBA is a plus.

  • Minimum of 7-10 years' experience in Supply Chain which must include the areas of Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Inventory Planning.

  • Minimum of 5 years of a proven track record experience in a Senior Sales& Operations leadership role, developing, implementing, and executing successful S&OP process. (flavor industry or manufacturing environment is strongly preferred).

  • Minimum of 5-7 years' experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams with a minimum of 5 years' experience managing direct reports.

  • Experience working with SAP is essential.

  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools / software is desired.

  • Experience with S&OP software and tools is a plus.

  • APICS Certification preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and use data to drive decision-making.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration across teams are essential to this role.

  • Data-driven with demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Strong presentational and leadership skills are essential. This includes meeting facilitation, skill sharing and training, organization, conflict management, change agent, manage relationships.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive collaboration across departments.

  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices.

  • Ability to work in fast paced manufacturing environments.

  • Knowledge and experience in MRP and ERP systems inventory control, materials requirements planning, item master, demand planning, and advanced supply chain planning and analytics required

  • Negotiating skills and ability to influence decisions that benefit the overall S&OP plan are critical.

  • Project management and time management skills, including multi-tasking and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, follow up and attention to details. Must be adaptable to multiple requests, daily changes and still deliver on commitments.
