Job Summary

• The Sonographer is accountable for performing transthoracic echoes and vascular ultrasound exams, apply Holter and Event monitors, and perform EKGs on patients of all ages.

• The sonographer will work independently in hospital and outreach settings.

Education and/or Experience

• Associates Degree in diagnostic ultrasound or certificate of successful completion from an accredited school of cardiac or vascular ultrasound required.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• ARDMS Registered Echo Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT). If registry eligible only, must obtain registry within 1 year of employment. Both RDCS and RVT must be obtained within 2 years of employment.
• RDCS and RVT registration preferred.

Work Schedule

• Monday-Friday, 8 hour day shifts; 72 hours every 2 weeks

• On call, one night per week

• On call, every 4th weekend

• Outreach site rotation

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $30.25 - $45.75 per hour
