Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Completion of the following:

Certificate for graduation from a JRCERT accredited program for Radiologic Technology

A minimum of 1 year of experience after graduation

National Background Investigation

Must be US Citizen

Reliable transportation to and from work site
License/Certification and Training:

Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) from American Heart Association

AART certified in the specialty of Sonography

Monday to Friday

Between 7:00 AM 6:00 PM

Maximum 40 hours per week

POSITION SUMMARY: Under generalsupervision, makes preparation, operates equipment and assists physicians inperforming diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular proceduresspecial procedures; performs hemodynamic monitoring and other duties asassigned. Performs radiographicprocedures of a highly specialized nature to demonstrate cardiac and vascular patency in a variety ofanatomical parts. Recognizes theimportance of supporting the team in general care of the patient and familymember. Supports general efficientfunction of the lab by assisting in transporting patients to or from the Lab. ESSENTIALCORE FUNCTIONS: 1. Selects, handles, and operatesequipment in a responsible, professional manner, selecting proper technicalfactors on an individual patient basis. 2. Transfers and properly positionpatients for examinations in order to obtain desired procedural resultsaccording to physician specifications. 3. Assists physician during angiographicprocedures, working with highly specialized equipment. Assists physicians inperformance of examinations by programming injectors, administering contrastmedia, working appropriately within sterile procedures. 4. Demonstrates Customer Serviceprinciples and behaviors appropriately following the ICARE standards. 5. Adheres to prescribed standards forRadiation Safety. Participates in Quality Improvement and Safety Programs. 6. Performs a variety of clerical tasks toinclude; inputting/editing exams, entering procedure and equipment charges postprocedure and Cath Lab log maintenance. 7. Takes advantage of opportunities forcontinuing education as provided by the department or seminars available forthe various specialties, cross training in specialized areas. 8. Actively seeks ways to control costswithout compromising patient safety, qualify of care or the services delivered. 9. Demonstrates knowledge of theoccurrence reporting system. Uses systemto report potential patient safety issues. 10. Followsestablished guidelines for reporting a significant medical error orunanticipated outcome in the patient's care which results in patient harm. 11. Attendsin-service presentations and completes all mandatory education requirements. 12. UsesPerformance Improvement Plan to improve patient safety. 13. Regular,punctual and dependable attendance. EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED: * High school graduate required * Associate Degree or equivalent in Radiological Technology required from an accredited institution or * RCIS credential LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: * ARRT registry required or RCIS credential * State of Florida license required if RT licensed * BLS at hire * ACLS within 6 months of hire EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED: * Successful completion of ARRT examination with a current license to practice radiographic technology or * Successful completion of RCIS examinations and credentials * Previous Specials, Vascular or Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred HCA Panama City FL
