Job Description:Sonographers demonstrate an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology, showing competence in production, use, recognition, and analysis of ultrasound images and patterns used for patient diagnosis. The Sonographer is responsible for performing the daily sonographic procedures and the independent operation of ultrasound equipment, and for performing diagnostic sonographic procedures according to Radiologist. The Sonographer maintains a high standard of medical ethics at all times and is self-motivated to uphold and improve his/her education and skills to ensure professional competence.To show our commitment to you and to assist with your transition into our organization, we will also offer up to a $8,000 sign-on bonus, if applicable.
Certification RDMS Physics SPI Registry or Registry from equivalent Society (ARRT, CRGS, etc), required. Registry in 4 or more Specialties, required BLS required within 60 days of hire, required
SkillsRequired: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.- and
Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).- and
