Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

Position Summary

• Performs diagnostic echocardiography exams in order to provide quality images to the licensed practitioner to aid in interpretation of diagnosis and treatment. Assures safe patient-centered care in an adult and geriatric population. Adjusts daily workload to meet the needs of a fast paced, team oriented environment.

• Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: Graduate of an approved school of sonography or allied health program with appropriate combination of education and training to be eligible for registration as a Cardiac Sonographer through ARDMS or CCI

• License/Certifications: RDCS or RCS certification within twelve months of date of hire. BLS within two months of hire.

• Experience: 1-2 years of clinical experience.

• Basic Computer skills

• Independent use of 2D and/or 3D Ultrasound equipment
