Job Responsibilities

Under the supervision and direction of the hiring manager, the Student Assistant assists with general administration and operational support in the School of Nursing and Health Professions (SONHP).

● Adhere to University student employment policies and the SONHP student employee confidentiality agreement.

● Assist with scanning, double checking, and filing/uploading student records electronically

● Assist with word processing, data entry, and ad hoc projects as assigned

● Other administrative duties as assigned

● Will manage a small portfolio of projects

● May also have opportunities for professional development and training on University databases, including Salesforce and Jade.

Minimum Qualifications

● Possess strong oral and written communication skills and exhibit enthusiasm for USF while maintaining excellent professional competence.

● Extremely detail-oriented and ability to read, interpret, and transfer data accurately.

● Professional, reliable, and strong work ethic.

● Ability to manage confidential information and adhere to University privacy policies.

● Ability to meet tight deadlines and provide appropriate follow-up and status updates

● Exceptional organizational skills.

● Ability to take initiative and work independently.

● Proficiency with PC and Mac systems and software applications including Microsoft Office, Adobe, Google Workspace; database systems experience is a plus.

Desired Qualifications

● SONHP students as well as non-SONHP students are encouraged to apply.

● Previous administration, office work experience, or employment are a plus.

● At least a 1 year commitment is preferred.
