The Annuity Actuarial division is seeking an Actuary to assume the following responsibilities:

  • Oversees, analyzes and reviews asset-liability cash flow projections of annuity products created using the Prophet actuarial modeling system.

  • Communicates information related to solvency, especially as it relates to fixed, indexed and variable annuity products.

  • Implements new products, assumptions and methodology in actuarial models.

  • Communicates results to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Ensures compliance with Model Governance standards.

  • Manages and provides guidance and assistance to associates in lower level positions.

  • Builds relationships with Product Development, Risk Management, Valuation, Planning and Finance areas.


  • 5 or more years of experience at the FSA level.

  • Experience with deferred annuity products is required.

  • Experience with Prophet or similar actuarial software is preferred.

  • Prior management experience is a plus.

  • Requires strong analytical and computer skills, including strong Microsoft Excel background.

  • Superior communication and problem solving skills are essential.

Job Duties will include: Developing products that meet consumers' needs is critical to Procter & Gamble's success! Segmentation is an important methodology in our statistical arsenal to understand consumers' similarities and differences to guide product development. Currently, there are different segmentation methods ranging from ad-hoc algorithms like hierarchical clustering routines or K-means to more model-based algorithms like latent class analysis. This internship assignment will investigate different segmentation methods to develop a coordinated best practice approach to solving business problems. Methods will be explored across a variety of data sets in the Home Care business consisting of multiple data streams. The successful candidate will explore not only special purpose commercial software but also open source platforms such as R. Requirements (skills / experiences) for the role: * Earning a PhD in Statistics or other quantitative discipline with strong Statistical knowledge. * Strong analytic thought process and ability to interpret and detail findings. * Knowledge of various statistical methodologies such as multivariate statistics, data mining/machine learning, psychometric methods, latent variable/class analysis, and/or conjoint analysis/discrete choice is a plus * Demonstrated proficiency in analytical programming languages and tools such as SAS, R, and/or Python. * Strong communication skills.
