About the job:
Learn current technologies deployed and lead team through improvement and automation opportunities to attain resilient systems and processes.
Through operational excellence, know what "good" looks like across all environments ensuring deviations are alerted and acted upon immediately using enterprise tools.
Partner with Sr. Architect and team to shift toward Site Reliability Engineering by supporting cloud technologies as well as transitioning those still on-prem.
Develop and support the latest technologies focused on the public cloud and containers.
Define infrastructure strategy in partnership with Sr. Architect.
Define and implement metrics for data driven decision making.
Technical lead in incident/outage investigations attaining root cause elimination.
Apply a systematic approach to solve problems with a sense of ownership and focus.
s or Masters degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience, technical degree preferred.
Minimum 7 years of IT experience.
Experience with building continuous integration pipelines; Bamboo or Jenkins.
Familiarity with Docker.
Demonstrate in-depth experience in Infrastructure Virtualization, Storage, Database technologies, and PowerShell and/or Python scripting languages.
Demonstrate experience in Enterprise Services and Technologies including firewalls, routing, VLANs, certificates, Active Directory, Group Policy, Splunk and AppDynamics.
Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate technical details to different, sometimes non-technical audiences.
Expertise in designing, analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
Ability to work across teams and manage multiple priorities at once.
Act with a sense of urgency, are innovative, creative and resourceful.
Adhere to audit / compliance guidelines and industry best practices.
Provide off hours, on-call as required.
Understanding of Agile software development concepts and processes.
